anyone able to get the voyager update

for visual voicemail? i went last night and they said they had a bad copy :-(

I got something similar relayed to me when I tried to get mine updated, the tech told me that he was getting some sort of error and that he could force the update if i wanted, but it might fry my phone.

He gave me a business card and said to call next week.

I got an email from our pretty annoyed area quality assurance rep reminding us to use the right PST tool for flashing the Voyager. It seems that there are far too many people using the wrong program (the old LG one) to flash the voyager and the user is encountering these "error" messages and reporting these issues back to QA. It's actually just a lack of a lot of people paying attention and retaining information.

A new PST tool was available a long time ago, it seems that people paid little attention to it. There is no "bad copy" out there, nor is there error messages. People are just using the wrong program on the flash machine.

What PST should they be using? LG Download Simple or LGNPST? I have flashed numerous Voyagers with LG Download with no problems at all.

Here's an excerpt from the email I was talking about. It's funny, you can tell QA was frustrated. 😎

ALL-
During today I have fielded many calls concerning the new S/W push which was sent out to the retail flash machines last night. Numerous stores have indicated the LG vx10000 (Voyager) will not connect or are getting different error messages like "Invalid Binary Files"… this has been customer impacting (NPS).

95% of these calls and error messages were due to store personnel utilizing the wrong PST tool!

In May the following "Equipment Software Alert" was sent out to all employees concerning the new LG PST
"LGNPST" and what handsets it supports:

I got the update. You have to wait up to 24 hours for the visual vmail to work.

Wait 24 hours I didn't know that, could that possibly be the reason why my phone resets when I try to use it? If it is then that'll save me a trip to the store tomorrow morning.

I think the UI is similar to the dare. The icons look sharper and crisper. Seems to move faster too, although that could just be me reacting to something new 🤣

Also the phone has the media center rather than get it now. Seems easier to find the apps you are looking for.

Just my 2 cents.

I got my update on the 8th and downloaded visual voicemail. It worked immediately. I think you got some wrong info. It works great.

Love the new software. Visual VM is awesome. You have to ota your phone and sometimes wait up to 24 hours.
