I am having problems with my Motorola phone (the
4th one Verizon has replaced) and when I called the *611 yesterday the gal told me that I could early upgrade for the 1 year price and still keep my current contract....my question is am I eligible to also use my company discount of 25% on equipment in conjunction with the 1 year pricing? Thank you in advance for the info.

No, you can not combine upgrade and corp pricing. With corp pricing, there are predetermined prices for the phones. This price is based on the number of lines your company has agreed to maintain.

He is a She and that is me....and after 3 w385 that kept being replaced only to be replaced by four k1m krzrs...and I am just looking to have a phone that works...and I am not trying to scam Verizon...they have been cool about replacing Motorola crap a$$ phones...and I asked if i could get something else as a replacement and I was willing to pay for it....I just wondered if with the 1 year discount pricing if I could also use the 25% discount I get for being a State employee...that is it.

If you were offered 1 yr pricing that would be via the lost/stolen/damaged policy. It gives you a phone at the 1 yr price with a 1 yr renewal (you likely have more then a year left, which is why you were told it wouldnt extend your contract). Corp discounts to not apply to lost/stolen/damaged upgrades.

what was the time frame for each replacement, have you tought about multi-warranty replacement where they give you different new unit free of charge but it'll mess up your upgrade for 2 years

wrong info. multi fru exchange does not change regular equipment upgrade date. its not the customers fault that the device keeps failing, and needs to be replaced more then once.

technically it does change it, but most data reps don't follow that guideline

The multi Fru Exchange ABSOLUTELY pushes your upgrade out. You are geting a brand new phone, it is considered an upgrade. Contract will not be extended, however equip upgrade date is pushed out 20 months.

your choice??? continue exchanging for same phone w/o the equipment upgrade date being adjusted, or take the new phone w/ the date adjustment.
