Does it use your out of network text messages?? I asked 2 of my friends and he said it does NOT use text message allowance but they have Sprint.

Yes and if you know other people with Blackberries, you can send them PIN to PIN messages without using text messages.
Also, there is NO 160 character limit on a PIN message.
You just have to have the PIN of the other user in order to use it.
