So...my bf and i got an account together...and he works for Home Depot and gets a 25% discount. but when they added me on, they said that the corp. discoutn he was getting was only valid on his main line. not on mine. Since I ended up getting the BB Pearl (he has the EnV), this is how it ended up working out. Keep in mind we both need unl sms, pix, flix, email, web access, and navigation.

his line:
$99.99- 700 shared minute plan (includes unl sms/pix/flix)
$15- Unl Web/email
$10-Unl VZ nav
he got 25% off this

My line:
$29.99- BB internet/email
$10- Unl VZ nav

This comes to a total of $133.73!
Why doesn't the corp discount come off of both lines?! then it would only be $123!
I know, some people are like, it's only $10/mo...b...

Yes, the premium plan would actually work best for everything involved...however, the chat rep i talked to said that it won't work with the bb pearl...that the premium plans are not actually compatible with ANY PDA device...is that true or false? i know Sprint's Simply Everything plan works with BB's, palms, HTC's, etc...but not sure about VZW's...

if your BBY was on a single line you'd get the discount too. Since you're on a $9.99 line, you don't get it.

that's the way it is.

The reason is the company discount only comes off the monthly access price of 34.99 or higher, some company discounts have additional allowances for data plans.

Typical vzw customer, getting a discount and wondering why they don't get more.

BTW I think it would be cheaper for you to go to the premium plan, but leave your line on the $9.99 plan. You'd save $5 and get more of a discount. (disclaimer: dependent on the primary line being $110 on the family share premium 700 plan)

Who said I'm not helpful?

Seriously, man... if you have a beef with the customers, please talk about in Shop Talk. You post this stuff here, it makes all of us look at burned out as you are in this job.

Are you talking about this person being typical and wanting more off their bill or me helping them get more off their bill? 🙄

The discount actually only comes off the monthly access as well, I don't believe it comes off the extra feature.

For one, they most likely are already on a premium plan, otherwise the discount would not come off of his features. Corporate discounts only apply to price plans that are 34.99 or higher or data features that are 29.99 or higher. Secondly, while the 9.99 that they pay for her calling/messaging will not be discounted, her blackberry package is still eligible for a discount. It is on the account that carries a discount, and is a qualifying data feature 29.99 or higher. Under the same parameters, VZnavigator on the blackberry is not eligible for a discount. So there you go. You may not save $10 a month, but you will save $7.50.
Oh, and please no one tell me that I'm wrong, because I'm an ARM at a corporate store and I know what I'm talking abo...

You should have just read my post and agreed with me. 😁 Except they're not on the premium plan. Notice how they say they're on the 99.99 700 minute plan? That is the select plan.

Because the secondary line is added $9.99 and does not qualify for the rebate.
