Latest Information on Upcoming Phones/PDAs
Been a while since I've posted here as I've been rather busy. A couple tidbits of new information for you guys:
HTC Touch - Tested the phone, and love it. Was delayed due to an issue with the original ROM, which has been resolved. Should see a launch somewhere in mid-late April, hopefully.
LG-VX9100 Env2- Played with one a few days ago (the black one). I absolutely hate the front of the phone, but the keypad is just as good as the Voyager's. I'm happy they switched the charging port over to MicroUSB, though! Q2 2008 is the release window.
Palm Centro - Also played with one a few days ago. Yes, it is definitely coming to Verizon. I'm not sure of how many color schemes, but the one I used was the same black as the Sprint one w...

If you've seen the pictures then you'd know why; the screen is tiny and the buttons fill up the front. It's absolutely ugly as sin.... it may be functional but I'm definitely not a fan.

Damn I was hopin you had a concrete date for the curve. Sprints seems to be coming out on April 21 or 16th. I hope verizons is released in April or Early may.

Regarding the Glyde ... how is the screen resolution on it?
I know LG has really good clear and crisp screen resolutions when going through the menus and using mobile web while Samsung was just big, dull, and blurry perhaps (e.g. compare the enV to the Alias when using mobile web or just going through the menu).

Screen resolution is crisp and clear. Haven't had much time with it, but it's what you'd expect from a high end device with a full HTML browser. Should be a hot seller for those who don't wanna spend the extra money and get a PDA.

Oh man, I knew I forgot something! The LG-VX9700 is now an active SKU and it appears that the name for this one is the "Dare".... Personally I'm not liking the name at all.

Yes the dumb naming thing. Like the commercial for the COOP. What does COOP mean? All I can think of is a pidgin COOP. Sorry about the spelling.

I have been wanting a BB for a while. I really want the curve. I see here that you seem to think that VZW will eventually bring one to the line up. Are your sources reliable?? Would hate to buy the pearl or 8800 now only to have the curve come out in a month or two.....Thanks a lot for your time.

I feel you, brah. I'm in the same place you are. I know if I get the 8830 the Curve will come out one day after my 30 day exchange period. If I wait, it won't come out till August.

Are my sources reliable? Absolutely, since I'm not going by any other sources other than Verizon Wireless themselves. I don't rely on other people's information - only my own. And most people that have seen my topics on here know I'm reliable.
The Curve won't be out for a couple more months. Late May seems to be what they're looking at now, but I can't really give you a solid release date, sorry.

I hope the Glyde is not too thick and does not require a data plan. I have a 8300 and a national plan and the $15 vcast package for email mainly. I probably will pay full price so I am not under a contract. I wonder if the glyde is like the iphone?

I doubt anything will be like the iPhone. The OS on the iPhone is absolutely sweet.

If you look at the pictures of the Glyde, it looks like the Voyager, but the keyboard slides out. The Touch seems more like the iPhone.

Absolutely nothing. I know what the device looks like from seeing pictures on the web of other carrier's, but I have seen absolutely nothing in house on a Verizon model, so I'm still doubting it.
