BB Data
Hi everyone,
I know this has been discussed before, but I just wanted to confirm: When you have a BB device, you MUST purchase a monthly data plan, even if you decide not to use it for e-mail. Like if you get the Pearl just for the "dazzle" of owning a BB, you still need to get the data plan right?
A friend of mine is trying to convince me that he can get a BB device on T-Mobile w/o a data plan, but I think that's incorrect.

Blackberry's software automatically pings the internet using data periodically.
Therefore you must have a data feature. It's not an ABSOLUTE requirement. But if it's not there you'll get charged for data.
Why on earth would you want one without the data plan? I mean, that's part of the dazzle.
