Hello,

If I renew my current contract and buy new phones from an authorized agent, and say 6 months down the road the phone goes bad. Can I go to the Corp store to exchange it, etc.?

Also, lets say during the first 15 days I change my mind about my selection, would I be able to exchange at the Corp store, or do I have to go back to the agent I bought it from?

Thanks

Back when I had Verizon I had an agent purchased phone, went to the COR store, and they did the exchange as long as I promised not to go back to the agent.

As far as the first 15 days I can almost guarantee it has to go back to the agent.

to your first question yes as it is covered by warranty for 1 year (provided there is no liquid or physical damage) and i'm not positive on the second question, but i believe that you must exchange it at the agent that you bought it from as they are required to follow the worry free guarentee you shouldn't have any problems doing the exchange at the agent (do keep in mind that the phone has to be in resellable condition)

you do have to return it back to the store you purchased it from. HOWEVER please be sure and verify what the exchange policy at that particular location. they dont have to follow the 30 day worry free guarantee. if your looking to get a good price on the phone why not go on the website?

Maybe they are smart consumers that value the economy and supporting local businesses...

...just a thought.

As for the OP. Indirect agents own their own equipment, their return policies are not set by Verizon Wireless but by their owners. Also, MOST indirect purchase their phones and sell them out as new. If they are new and is a phone that VZW supports then any retail store that carries FRU stock will switch you out if you have an issue. As long as it isn't water or physical abuse and under one year there would be no fee for this transaction. If the phone is over 1 year and no water damage or physical abuse then there will be a 50.00 charge. If the phone is water damaged or physical abuse then no exchange...must go through insuran...

Thanks guys.

The agent is a good friend of mine, his store is far away from my house, but I rather give him the business. So I just wanted to make sure that I have the ability to exchange it if something goes wrong, since I had to do that 2 times with my current razr.

I didn't read the other relies.
Within those 15 days you have to go to the indirect store you bought it from since if you go to a corporate store they'll just say it's not in our stock.

I know this all too well since I work for a indirect company.

But having problems with the phone? You still have a 1 year manfactuer warranty. Exchanging the phone out? Wow. I'm with verizon and they have never gladly jsut exchanged my phone out without a big hassle.
