Well.. since AT&T just picked up EDGE Wireless.... Verizon has always been the next to pick up another rural carrier that we've never heard of. I don't think they will go after some of the bigger names like Alltel or US Cellular yet.

I say if Alltel doesn't get any 700mhz licenses, then I expect VZW to get Alltel in certain markets. I still however don't see USCC being acquired yet, though that's still a possibility (& I know VZW wants that other 20mhz PCS B Block that they were forced to divest in 1999 for Illinois & northern Indiana).

Well, since VZW prepay sucks, it'd probably do them good to acquire someone who does prepay well... like Metro or Cricket.
