that is the same as cingular, but cingular customers can upgrade 21 months into their two year contract..
verizon does that stupid credit towards new phones, but when you are far enough into your cingular contract you are eligible for sometimes 150 off of the regular price of the phone.
verizon uses different phrases for upgrading, but cingulars upgrade policy is better.

ok, your trophy is in the mail. Customers can upgrade with the new every two program 22 months into their 24 month contract. The new every two program gives a customer up to $100 off the already discounted two year price of a phone. The two year price of a phone is usually around $150-$200 off the retail price, the new every two gives a customer an additional $100 discount towards the already existing credit.

As to upgrades? Well we don't charge an upgrade fee... so we don't have free upgrade phones even on a 2 year cotnract. Customers can get phones as low as $20 after rebate. For those customers that want bigger and better, they exercise their $100 NE2 discount and get that $400 phone for $50. Thats factoring in discount for renewing a 2 year agreement THEN taking the $100 off the phone.

If you are from Cingular and offering a free phone when you start activation? All I saw on the website when I went there were "Refurbished" phones that were free after rebates or instant discounts. Did not see one new phone that was listed as free after either a rebate or instant discount. If I am going to start new service with them then I would want a free NEW phone not someone elses used reject. But I am sure there is something somewhere I missed or maybe you dont come from Cingular?

What business would lead in with their highest cost phone for the least price? I would lose money to match that pricing as a dealer...so I don't even go after it. And VZW doesn't seem to care that dealers can't match these prices. They basically say, "Oh well" when this is brought up in dealer meetings. They will just continue to make the playing field unfair for dealer because they know that if it were fair between dealers and websales/telesales...the dealer would win 9 times out of 10. Hands down! There is so much more that deal...
