Ready for my new every two; currently have a Palm Treo 650. Use the device for business; big email user. Torn between these two: the small form factor of the Pearl vs its SureType; the 'anywhere' use of the World phone vs its still bulky size.
Any feedback from folks who are heavy email users and have used either/both is most appreciated.
One other wrinkle: I have a Mac. Currently use Mark/Space to sync with my Treo. Imperfect, I'm sure it will be the same with any device (except an iPhone).
Thank you!

How many times are you going to post this?
...
I only got one reply from my previous post and thought I'd post it again.
...
8830 all the way. Pearl way to small. I know of about 10 people who went with the 8830.
...
About the Pearl being too small: did they not like how the size in general or did they not like the SureType that results from the smaller form factor?
...
Both the screen and suretype, buttons to little too.
...
I am a heavy email user as well. I went with the Pearl because of it's small size. You get used to suretype and the buttons are small, but I have small hands and I like the smaller form factor myself. I'm extremely happy with my Pearl and have no regrets!
...
I just sold my 8830 since it was to big. And the button are to hard to type on. The buttons are to close. The 81230 has been great suretype is no problem and I like the size. I have larger hands and I have no problem.
If you really want a full keyboard and don't care to have the latest model get the 8703e off ebay and you will be happy. the size is thicker but the keys are spaced apart very nicely.
...
You should get the pearl
...
The 8830 is a great size/weight. Pearl is smaller, suretype is weird....easy to get use to though. Get the pearl and if you're overseas rent a phone...camera is nice on the pearl. No camera on the 8830.
...
i have the 8830 now and ive been playing with the pearl.....pearl is small as hell especially for people like me with huge thumbs lol.....try both of em out suretype is something u have to get used to.

I can't answer your question per se as I carry an AT&T Blackberry (Curve) and a Verizon (8700) cell. Wouldn't/couldn't consider carrying just 1 device.
I too use a Mac and I regularly sync my bberry with with PocketMac sync manager and have no issue. Have not used Mark Sync, but if you are having issues with it, you may want to check out PocketMac, its free!
...
Free is good; thanks! I'll definitely check out PocketMac.

You are welcome! It is not perfect, but, it works well for me. I sync data between Entourage and the bberry.
...
I use Mac Mail, but I would guess it would sync just as easily. Btw, when you sync do you use third party software, iSync or just sync wirelessly?

As for a mail client, I *MUCH* prefer Apple Mail. The nice thing about Entourage is having everything (calendar, address book, etc.) in one program.
I sync using USB. I did not have to do anything with iSync.
Feel free to contact me offline (gingolds at rcn dot com) for specific questions.

8830 doesnt have a camera, other then that it is better imo. if you dont mind not having a camera get the 8830, its a better phone better keyboard better feel, and its NOT that big!
...
I don't need the camera, though can imagine missing it. Thanks for your advice!
