VZW Employment
I was wondering how those of you that work at VZW like it. For those of you that work in the Call Center, how many years of customer service experience did you have before being hired at VZW? Also, would you say that the job is difficult or is it fairly standard/straight-forward?
Or if any of you work in the IT or Network department, how are the working conditions? Does VZW train you well for the position or do you bring in plenty of previously learned knowledge from college degrees, previous jobs, etc.?
Basically, from what I understand, VZW seems to be a good company to work for. However, I was just curious to see what current employees like/dislike about the company.

The job is not very difficult, but you WILL end up dealing with extremely difficult customers off and on. I've heard that the retail stores are very fast paced.
I don't work in IT, just basic troubleshooting. My only complaint was more general training and experience was needed prior to being on the floor. That said, training time has nearly doubled since I was in training.
