On the Iphone/ATT law suit???? Looks like ATT gets to go through a V710 kinda situation...the phone should be able to be unlocked in my take!

the main problem apple is going to have is deliberately destroying unlocked iphones. That was kind of a shady move, and I think thats going to be a major sticking point.

I dont think the lawsuit has any real merit, I think they hope apple and at&t will just pay them money to make them drop it so they dont have to spend time and money fighting stupid alligations in court.

I like the part about the "lawfully" unlocked iphones, as it takes a third party application to do so, it doesnt matter if it is legal or not, that voids the warranty and the maker is no longer bound to service or support the device.

The suit comes down to someone didnt like the terms of the contract they signed and feel they are not responsible for their actions so should sue the people he signed the contract with rather than follow the terms he agreed to.
Also he complains that he took an action that willfully voided the warranty on...
