OK, two new PDA's with WiFi are coming to VZW.
Let's hear some reasons why we should choose Samsung over HTC/UTS. Why i760 over XV6800.
Can we clarify the following pls:
> Do they both have the same size screen?
Is one bigger or higher rez?
> Does one have a better reputation for quality, how about reception?
> Do you both run the same exact OS? Does one brand handle this OS better?
> What about slickness and weight?
> Which one is more of a workhorse or has better WiFi or more bells and whistles.
Let's hear it... 🙂 S

don't all of you respond at once now! 😉 considering how hot both of these phones are for VZW I'm surprised this thread hasn't received any comments yet.
by the way, it seems both phones have the same exact screen and operating system and the i760 is slicker. on paper the 6800 is supposed to have better battery life.
are there real advantages to one vs the other, short of the 2mp cam with flash?
thanks, 🙂 S

Well, I opted to get the the new Q9m about 2 weeks ago. It wasn't for me, and went back a week later. Between the 6800 & i760, well... The look of the Sammy wins hands down. To be honest I don't see much of a difference in 1.3mp and 2mp, do you? So that would be a wash imo. If my env could view html pages, I wouldn't even bother with either one. I squeezed an order in yesterday for an i760. So that is my choice.

I'm leaning toward the i760 too. I did some research on the web about this phone and it seems Samsung has a real good reputation about quality. I've had my VX-9800 the "V" for two years and it's worked fantastically. So, if Samsung's quality is anything like LG, I'd be happy.
Besides the 2mp vs 1.3mpg and the fact that 6800 seems to have a little flash. Are there any other reasons to get the 6800? Does the 6800 has some must have feature that i760 doesn't? 🙂 S

I don't think so. The 6800 looks like every other htc phone. Nothing about it sets it apart from the 8525, the wing, cosmetically speaking of course. Either way you look at it, the i760 is a looker, good or bad. I haven't checked out the processor speeds, rev-a upgradeable, stuff like that yet. Have you?

Based on the Sprint version 6800:
Processor: 400 MHz ARM 11 (Qualcomm MSM7500)
i760
Processor: 400 MHz Samsung 2442
Does anyone know if i760 is upgradeable to RevA?
...
I read that it is, at least rumored to be. Who knows 😕

I'd love for Sprint to get an i760.

the big reason that i am getting the i760 is the actual numeric buttons on the front. The 6700 was great but i hated using it as a phone because dialing just became a headache. The i760 will be easy to pick up and make a call.

Has anyone recieved there i760 yet?

I thought the 6800 was going to have WiFi? Do either or both of these phones have that? What about GPS? If one does end up with WiFi, would the Voip feature be crippled?

Never mind, I see the i760 also has Wifi.
