Hmm... they brought back the Local Digital Choice 600 Plan

Hmm... VZW brought back the Local Digital Choice 600 plan (600 anytime minutes, unlimited N&W, unlimited IN-calling, for $39), just in time for the holidays.

Nice entry-level plan, only downside is that it makes the LDC 700 plan pointless. That plan needs some buffs some day.

Still no NEW VZW plans though. Both the promos they have out now (LDC 600, 1000 Local Anytime w/free LD) have been around before. They don't seem particularly worried. Interesting.

LDC 600 is available in the South Area - Gulf Coast. 600 Anytime, Unlim N&W, IN-Network. Regional LD only, but you can add Nationwide for $4.99/mo. Coverage area is Louisiana, most of MS & AL, and FL up to Panama City Beach.

I really wish VZW offered a TX/LA LDC plan, but they don't, at least not in my market.

Do you guys have the LDC 1000 anytime, unlim N&W, IN calling, free LD for 49.99? We have it here in Hawaii...and I think it's probably the best bang for the buck as far as plan minutes go. I don't see the 600 minute plan though...if I weren't sharing a line with my brother I'd definitely go with that.

The nation's largest carrier offers local calling plans. Oh wait who is that again, that's right Cingular not Verizon, I can smell the fear.

Why not offer local calling plans? Some people do not need long distance so why not chose a plan that gives you more minutes without the LD?

Hmmm...So VZW brought back a plan that matches Cingular/AT&T. Its too bad that Nationwide Long Distance is $5 extra. Good try, but not enough though.

Actually, you should be very happy that Verizon's not trying harder. Even with slightly more expensive plans, VZW's still adding customers at twice the rate of Cingular and ATTW COMBINED. 😳

And isn't kinda sad you had to combine 2 companies to beat our customer volume. 🤣

A lot of the promotional Local Digital Choice plans do include free long distance.
