i emailed verizon about the ks20 and here's what they said Currently, Verizon Wireless does not offer the LG KS20. I am unable to provide
information regarding which equipment is being considered or approximate release
dates, as this may raise expectations that may not be met.

Although we do not have the handset you are looking for at this time, I invite
you to view our current phone selection as a possible alternative. To view
available equipment, please click on the following link, which will direct you

Can you purchase CDMA phones from Korea and use them on VZW like you can on GSM carriers?

this is a billion dollar company...they arent just going to make a move on a whim. The iphone will hurt vzw a lil in the short run...but long run, they will be fine. And by waiting they can look at all of the downfalls of the iphone and release a phone that is a true touch screen marvel.

Not a free phone housed in shiny glass touchscreen case.

No. Korea uses WCDMA, not CDMA. Even if they did use CDMA, there's no way to unlock a CDMA phone. Well, there is, but there's not a CDMA carrier in the US that will let you activate an unlocked CDMA phone.

thats what sucks...since cdma uses esn's only phones available for service on either sprint or verizon..have to have sprint or verizon esn's...i say thats the only perk of GSM simcards...But did anyone else realize that the iphone was kinda the first advertised phone...months before its release...? Verizon and sprint never announce a new phone..it just shows up online...then weeks later you might see a commercial for it.

i never really understood that either, it would make since to create sum buzz on the product. I guess they are afraid people will leave our current models sitting on the shelf waiting for the new stuff?? who knows but you would think they would push it, I am not an apple fan, but they know how to hype a product

see after launch thats no good..before launch builds the hype for it..not just that when your launching an expensive device like the iphone..you have to give people time to save up for it...so by the time 6months rolls around...you could have easily saved 100 bucks a month...and when it finally gets here...you dish out the goods for the goods...Genius.

If you want information on the phone, go to the manufacturer. If they tell you that they are making it for a carrier, then you can bug the carrier. Going to the carrier and asking them when a phone that has never been mentioned by the carrier is going to be released is just idiotic.
