Switching to Verizon....

I have been seriously thinking about switching to Verizon.... I have U.S. Cellular right now, and I am not really impressed with their phone selection, and I'm not really sure if I like their plans. With all of the talk about the ATT/Cingular merger, I'm not sure if I should switch to Verizon now, or wait and see what happens with the new ATT plans... any suggestions?

I personally would wait, if you go look in the Cingular orange or Cingular blue boards (or even the ATTWS customer boards at ATTWS.com) you'll see talk of some cool plans coming. But verizon does have a couple good plans right now that may be gone by the time Cingular makes their offers, or they could get better ones. I'd say wait a month if you can.

Also keep in mind that we (USCC) are coming out with 4 new phones by the end of November. As for plans... we offer more anytime minutes than anyone around (at least in Wisconsin, where are you???) What's not to like? Our holiday promo will also be around very shortly. I haven't heard any details about it but it's supposed to be HUGE.

I live in Maine, and here for a 400 min national plan (USCC), it is $50 - that is before any additional services. I have been looking at Verizon's America's Choice plan, and it covers most of the country - you get 400 min for 39.95, plus unlimited In calling and unlimited nights and weekends. You have to pay for mobile to mobile and nights & weekends with USCC. The regional plans are priced better than VZW, but I have started traveling more for my job, so I need moe coverage.
