Hi all,

Just wondering what your thoughts are on verizons best speakerphone. I use it in my car quite a bit and Im sick of the echo that the LG VX8100 has.

Im thinking either the VX8700 or the Motorola RAZR MAXX.

any thoughts?

I haven't tried the last two you mention, but I can tell you the LG 8300 is far better than the 8100. I would recommend you give it a try.

i would also reccoment the lgvx8300 too for the best, and verizon also offers ahands free kit for your car, it costs a couple of hundred (install costs, and equipment costs) but everyone that has the handfree kit in their car love it, and always say its worth it.... a word of advice in just about every state in the united states is trying to pass the law where you can drive and talk on the cell phone ath the same time, some states have already passed it, and massachusetts is in the process them selves of passing it....

NY was one of the first to pass such a law. The enforcement of that law leaves much to be desired...

the 8300 is your best bet. i have had both the 8700 and the maxx. the 8300 may be boring but its the best phone verizon has come out with.

as has already been said, the 8300 is probably the best overall choice.

between the maxx and 8700

the 8700 speakerphone is much better than the 8600, but is still not very good. It's fairly loud, but distorted.

The maxx has a better speaker than a lot of phones, its clear and relatively loud. but its a new razr and moto doesn't have a good track record when releasing new handsets. We haven't seen any bugs...yet.

Personally I like the 8700 better than the maxx, but thats mostly due to the fact I have a razr and hate it. LG's always seem to be the way to go. Its unfortunate cause the maxx has some things going for it, but seems to be lacking in some areas
