Desperate Verizon Dealer... please help!

JDigital

Okay, I've resigned myself to the fact that Verizon doesn't give a crap about indirect dealers (except Radio Shack, of course.) I know that I will never find really good wholesale pricing on handsets, and that to be competitive with other outlets I'm going to have to lose at least $100 on a phone. The real problem now is that I can't even GET the friggin phones right now. All my suppliers have dried up, and the few phones the do have are OLD. I can't get either of the new Samsungs unless I have them special ordered, and then they are so expensive that I can't even sell them at a fair price. The new LG phones aren't much better. If somebody has a source that they would be kind enough to share with me, I'd really appreciate it. I'm in O...

Are you kidding me? I would never touch those phones even when they were widely available, because I would never wish them on any of my customers. I think I can still order them at about $200 apiece, but if I were you I would seriously consider something else.

I feel your pain JDigital.

We haven't been able to get samsung a670's at a good price SINCE release.

We don't have any more kyo se-47's.

We have a hard time getting samsung a650's, LG-vx7000's and moto v710's.

I'm dying here. It's hard to sell when you don't have what customers want!

I'm out in the NE region.

I'm in the Pacific NW... and I can get V710's at a really good price... go figure. I haven't had ANY 670's, 650's, 7000's, etc. I can still get the Slider, but now the rebate is gone and the price hasn't really gone down, so it's not that great either. Where do you guys order from, anyway?

I'm not 100% sure since I'm mostly a grunt.

I think we use cellstar and brightpoint (or is it cellstar and brightstar?). Basically it was whomever mentioned the wholesalers in the earlier posts (check sponge post I think).

Brightpoint is who I have been using, but their inventory right now is ridiculously bad; that is the reason I posted in the first place. I hadn't heard of Cellstar before, but I am going to check them out on Monday.

JD, (I could use a shot of that right now), we have also been using evercell. They are supplying alot of our accessories. I don't know if they also supply phones. You might want to give them a look-over and see if they have phones.

Why don't use guys get your phones from Verizon? Their prices aren't that bad at all. You get all the rebates that way, and they will do the FRU program for phones that are under warranty. It's a win win situation. There isn't usually a stock problem either. I can get any phone I want.

They are dealers not customers. They are looking for stocks of phones and unless verizon does things alot different than anyone else they don't stock dealers.

IS THERE ANY DEALERS HERE IN THE NY MARKET. I HAVE BEEN CONSIDERING CHANGING MY MULTI SHIELD STORE LOCATION TO A VERIZON INDIRECT STORE. HOW DO YOU FEEL THE SUPPORT AND OVERALL FEED BACK IS IN OUR MARKET?

Okay, I'm with ya... sorry about that. I'm an indirect agent and get all my phones from Verizon directly. I also have accounts with Cellstar and Brightpoint but they just don't compare. They hardly ever have any stock and Verizon's rebates aren't honored if I don't get them directly from Verizon.

I would love to order directly from Verizon, but since we aren't an exclusive agent (we sell other carriers besides Verizon), they don't allow us to purchase that way. And as far as the rebates go, I've only ever had a problem with the LG handsets not being rebateable. Samsung, Audiovox, Kyocera, Motorola all seem to be rebate eligible no matter where I get them.

Hi,

First, I am a salesman, not in charge of any purchasing, but I read these on the box Sku's.

We use Verizon, AEROVOICE, BRIGHTSTAR, and CELLSTAR. Those were for the phones that we have in stock. I am not sure what others we may use. Although we are an exclusive master agent, but can get better deals supposedly through a third-party. We can only give certain mail in rebates for handsets purchased direct thru verizon.

Hope this helps, I just overlooked this, I don't know anything about our purchasing or these companies.
