Quick2Net on the i730

What *exactly* is Quick2Net and how do I get it on my Samsung i730?

I know I've read it before. It seems like a tethering option, but I think you can use it as a data plan sub on the actual phone.

you cant use it for tethering. Its an app you can use on your pda/smartphone that dials into a server at 14.4...its dirt slow...and it charges you minutes

That's great actually. All I'd use it for is if

a) I'm not in a WiFi hotspot

and

i) I want to check e-mail.

ii) Fool around on HoFo or Phonescoop which I would have time to kill anyway so I don't care about it being slow.

I believe this was the original name for the mobile office kit. It allowed you to connect to the 1st generation data network at about 14.4 kbps. Your better off connecting to 1x at around 56 kbps.

I just PM'd someone on HoFo yachi I believe, and gave my step by step directions. It's for browsing on the i730, while it is very slow, it only costs minutes since it acts like an analog modem. For those of you with an i730 like me here are the details:

Sure, I'd be happy to help you out, and yes this is for browsing, not tethering. But be aware, it is incredibly slow, something like 14.4kbps if I am not mistaken. Anyway, here goes. Slick on start, then settings. Then go to the connections tab. From there click on connections, then go to the advanced tab. Click on the "Select Networks" button and make sure both drop down options say "My ISP." Click on the Edit
