I didn't think that phone sold at all... Ive only seen one person with a white one in a club somewhere.... As a matter of fact I rarely see any Verizon phones at all, mostly Nextel, Cingular and Tmobile...

Where I work at, most people have either Sprint or Cingular phones. But for those with Verizon Wireless, most either have the RAZR, Pantech (VZW PN-215), Samsung a930 (me), or the LG VX8300. I have not seen anyone with the Chocolate. I may have seen one person on the street with the LG VX8600.
I wouldn't be surprised if the phone was a flop. On Howardforums.com, I read that the most recent firmware locks out third party applications, including bitpim. So no one can add their own wallpaper or ringtones with Bitpim, or any other program.

I have never seen a Chocolate and I am on a college campus a few days a week. However, I have a daughter in high school and she tells me that there are a fair number of students with them but everyone she knows who has one doesn't like it.

There are a lot of people with Chocolates around here but we hardly sell them anymore. We still have people come in and say the phone looks cool and that they want it. Most of them aren't eligible for anything yet. To be honest we actually talk most people out of the Chocolate after all the probems we've had with them. The touchpads just stop working all the time.

We've alo been talking people out of the Razr. We've had a god awful peoblem with battery life on them lately. It seems like the majority of them come back. I believe once our current inventory is gone we're going to be done with the Razr here. There are just too many other phones out now.

we don't keep that many in stock... but i should say that i sell a green and red one every week... when i sell one it takes about a week until i get one back in stock and then it's gone the same day... i don't know if that's random or if i'd be selling the crap out of them if i had them in stock...

it's all the high school kids, though... when someone older than 21 is looking at it i try to talk them into something else... the coolness factor will be over soon... the kids are driving the market right now but good reliable phones will prevail (long live the 8300!!)

that's my $.02

Now, is that 2 cents or .02 cents? ๐Ÿคฃ

Seriously though, I haven't sold a chocolate in well over a month. I could probably count on both hand the amount I've sold total since it came out.

the demographic this phone caters to is relatively small, as most of the customers interested in this are below the "I got my own account" age limit. I haven't sold many, but others around me have; the colors in general haven't sold well either. They're now more a novelty item than a standard.
