Quick Question about LG VX6000's Charging
For the past 3 days, every time I attempt to charge the phone, the light on the charger will turn red for about 5-10 seconds before flashing, thus causing my phone to not charge. I make sure to keep the phone off while I attempt to charge it, but since it's run out of battery life I can't even keep it on for more than 30 seconds. Is the battery dead or is the charger screwed or something different altogether?

Try cleaning the metal contacts on the back of the battery with an eraser.

I have that phone and we can't get it to charge for love nor money. Since it's a 3 yo phone, I think it may have just outlived it's usefulness.

I just always cleaned the contacts off would just use the plug in charger instead of the desktop one.

Just get a different charger. There is a charging port in the bottom of the 6000, and I think it uses the same plug-in charger as the VX4400. If that doesn't fix it, then you have a phone problem.

Nope, it uses the plug that came out afterwards, the 600 takes the same plug as the 4600, and 4500, but is different then the 4400.

In any case, it would be worth trying the different charge port before committing to a new phone...that is if they don't want to upgrade.

When the light blinks, its time to upgrade your phone. It blinks three times when you really need to get an upgrade... The LG 6000 was an excellent phone, but it has run its course.. it has put up a good fight.. The phone GOD would say welcome to heaven, you have been a faithful servant.
The LG will be up there next to the LG 4400, Mot E815, LG 7000, 8000... all the good verizon phones that have pasted away, lol
