I think this is incorrect. The it's not the Pearl it the 8830 that is coming.

Might be true. But its not touchscreen and it lacks multimedia you have a glorified 2way PAGER.

Actually, the 8830 that Verizon is getting will have a mediaplayer. Lacking touchscreen would be the only downfall, and that is only if people really care about that.

Touchscreen is the 200 dollar difference between treo's and blackberry motorola q samsung BJ. I would think touchscreen is a big ticket.

Keovani...treo's and BB's serve two slightly different markets. Blackberry's are for people that need constant access for email, I know a lot of people who use blackberries who dont even use the calendar. They ARE glorified 2 way pagers, but thats what people want

A treo does have a few more features, mainly the touchscreen, but email is more difficult. So you can't just make a blanket statement that everyone should have treo's because they have a touchscreen. For some, a BB is better device.

Let people make their own decisions and buy the device that best fits their needs.

I think RIM is trying to break that stereotype, hence the Pearl and the 8800. As far as the Treos go, Palm OS is good, but old and tired. Win Mobile is bloated and buggy and has no place in the mobile world.

Dude IMO Touch screen sucks. Scroll wheel is so much more user friendly. As I said just my opinion though.

It's quite obvious that you've never used the blackberry before. I have the Q, and i have no problems with scrolling. i actually prefer less delicate screen.

I would like to see new trackball in action. 🙄

I prefer a 1990 480i tv with a turn nob over a 2007 1080p tv with a bluetooth remote... I actually prefer a less delicate screen....

See how dumb that sounds...Upgrade..its the way of the future....
