verizon works with Cellular at Sea
USCC works, too. As does Sprint. I think they started with Sprint and have allowed the others to work as well. There's no way around the $10+ per call, even if you have a roaming plan with any of these guys.

the cruise line says $2.49 a min. Even if someone calls and leaves you a voice message and you do not answer. Its still been routed through the satellite and you are still charged.
