But I have a friend who you can talk to, he will set you with a nice Verizon phone and great price plan, because we all understand the real issue. So, if you don't like Verizon, go to another carrier. If you can't because you are tied to mommy's plan and thus your misplaced anger, get a prepaid go-phone or have no cell at all.

i have my own lines thank you. have not been with verizon (thank god). just mad that the few (and only) people i know with verizon get crapped on. i have 3 phones. 1 cingy through work, 1 nextel for personal/business contacts, and 1 cingy (with all the goodies) for fun.
at the time of the browbeating, i was not armed with the knowledge of the difference between the carriers. i did not know anything other than dialing and texting. so i thought the guy at verizon was way pushy but still believed his crap about "incurring charges for not signing a new contract". what bull! oh well, she's leaving anyway. i pointed out that "material change" in her contract. 😁

And Cingular didn't make the same "material change" in your contract? Hate to tell ya, I don't think VZW is allowing no-ETF cancellations for the text increase. It's a feature that can be disabled, and they'll gladly do that if she has a problem with the increase, but if she texts enough that an extra $.05 per text will break the bank, she should have a text plan, which was NOT affected by the per-text rate increase...

no actually. tell them to make sure that when they buy a "full featured phone" that it is just that, a phone that has all of it's built in features and not castrated. i really not endorsing any one carrier, but cingular phones(at least every one i have delt with) have all of their features and not removed by the carrier. that is just wrong. all carriers have their faults. i happen to find major faults with verizon. since my post, there has been a couple of replies that weren't completely fueled by some strange anger(stemmed from regret for being with said carrier)and one that was just crazy.

i've played with her phone a little and found i kept going to sites that were related to verizon. maybe there's a way to get actual websites i don't know. seems to me if you control all the info, then the people will always see your way. i prefer gsm and since i have a 3g phone and live in a 3g service area (in a unincorporated city in alabama of all places!) i'll stick with cingy

i just think that if a carrier purposely has a feature turned off to force you to buy their products, they don't deserve your loyalty. 🤨
as far as the phones, cdma networks typically get the "latest phones" last. and with sprint and verizon you get somewhat castrated phones. you see, V-folks, i don't approve of sprint either. and nextel is only good for PTT. nextel may have 5 phones with bt and no obex on them either. that's just gay!

Nice sleek phones that work. OBEX get over it use a memory card or back up assistant. you want a new phone at a good price sign up for a new contract.... dont want a sighn up for two years then pay the full price of the phone...either or thats how it is..every other company does it. thr Red V is for Verizon wireles and that it.
