I was on the VZW website checking out the latest deals so I can decide what plan & phone I wanted (I am porting from ATTWS) and I noticed the V60s is no longer listed! 😡 What gives? Is it being replaced? ☚ī¸

Ok jester2112 thanks for the reply but can you tell me what phone replaced it? Or can you at least tell me what phone would be good for me to use on Verizon's network?

Sponge, thats a good call on phone comparison! Yeah the LG-VX4500 has a good speakerphone, color screen, 2nd generation voice-command menu.

Hey Tea Dez,

Tell us a bit more about what you are looking for in a phone other than the fact that it works! Do you travel? Do you plan on using it for personal or business use? etc, etc. Tell us what you want in a phone and we'll drudge up another phone comparison or two.

Yeah, the 4500 was slotted inline to replace the aging v60... but its neither tri-mode nor anywhere near as durable...

Hey GWFOX,

First off thanks for the help (Sponge too). I am located in New York City and I mostly travel between here and New Jersey. I really don't care if the phone has a camera or not but I just want something with good battery life and great signal strength. I hear Verizon has really good coverage here in the Tri-state area so I have faith in them on that. I just need an expert opinion on what phone to get. I was looking at the Lg 6000 is that a good phone? I do like the Lg 4500 as well. By the way is an all digital phone the better way to go or is Tri mode better? Thanks in advance. 😁

tri-mode is preferred, but in your area it doesn't really matter (stay off of 84 though... **** coverage, still! (damn hills)) the 6000 and 4500 are pretty much the same phone, guts-wise, just one has a camera the other has a speakerphone...

Yeah I have had some problems with reception on the 84 with my VERY SOON TO BE ex carrier Attws. But then again I always thought it was just At&t.... đŸ¤Ŗ But anyway I will be getting my new Verizon service on monday. 😈. Thanks for the help Sponge. 😉

A great tri mode is the Nokia 3589i. Now bear in mind, it's boring but works extrememy well here in the Tri State. HAs many nice feature as different profiles, browser and voice activation. But I ve never seen the phone go to analog even in the mountains of Maine where my son could not get a signal on his Motorola T730 both of us on VZW. In the Tri STate, you can't go wrong with VZW.

Thanks fokrabb for the imput. I was looking at the Nokia (I know they make good quality phones) and for me as long as I can use my phone and it has no problems then I will give the Nokia 3589i a shot. If you say you have used this phone in my area and have had no problems then I will take a chance and get this one. Thank you to all that have helped me. You guys in the Verizon forum are great. 😁

Well I went into a VZW store just to check the phones out and well I am still leaning toward the Lg 4500 and the Lg 6000... I did check out the Nokia and yeah it looks so-so. I guess when I go on Monday to start my service I will make the final decision then. Anyway don't I have 15 days to decide if that is the phone I want anyway? 😕
