Anybody want to start a fund to stop the Joan commercials? They were kinda cute to start with, but now their just annoying. I can't sit through one anymore.

I heard Kathrine Zeta is looking for work! 🤤

I don't like the ads personally either... Ok here goes my rant.
I firmly believe that because USC uses agents for 75% of their distribution that they should make more advertising available to the agents.
Currently our ad (especially in TV) is pathetic.
In order to combat the effectiveness of the big 3's branding, USC need to jump on the boat and make invest on producing great quality commercials and other ads and make them available for the agents to use their co-op dollars on.
If they stopped paying a frickin celebrity to endorse them, and just created a brand, ie "can you hear now?" guy or Cingular's Orange paint splatter they would be a much more effective company in terms of brand awareness. There are no more celebrity endor...

Good answer man. You're right to hell with Katherine Zeta. Imagine US Cellular got a bunch of washed up celebs and did a funny commercial? Imagine like Danny Bonaduce and the guy who played Peter Brady hawkin' cell phones. LOL I cracked myself up!

Oh, that would be hilarious, but probably not the message we would want to be sending. I'm giggling, though.
USCC won't give more to agents because those percentages of agent to corporate are industry wide. None of the carriers can exist without their agents, but they restrict how they can advertise and sell. Soon, when the markets are all saturated, they will remember who's doing most of the selling and come back to being nice to us.... maybe.... we'll see.

Personally, I think we should have Chuck Norris run out and round house kick a phone from verizon guy's hand, then state "Chuck Norris can communicate telepathicly with animals but only U.S. Cellular lets him call you for no charge."
Then the tag line "Switch to U.S. Cellular, or we'll send in Chuck Norris."
...
I LOVE IT!!!!! I wonder if we could scrape up enough money to get him!
...
You know what would be REALLY awesome?
If we came up with something that was funny less than a year ago.
...
Agreed. I'm done with Joan (and I used to like her so much!)
...
Yeah I know Nathan, ok then Chuck Norris is out..... How about B. Arthur showing off the MP3 player on the KRZR and then rapping along with Rappers Delight? Then the tag line could be "Our reps are so helpful they even make your grandma seem hipper than you."
...
Only if he gets angry at someone else's service and throws the phone while screaming
...
How about NO celebrities.... The endorsement days for cellular phones is OUT. Waste of F'in money.
...
Joan's best acting was in Sixteen Candles. She should have ended her career after that. They NEED to do something to increase brand recognition.
...
how dare you insult americas most famous transexual actor/actress!
...
Yeah, I think her brother is hotter and I'm not gay. At least I don't think I'm gay.
...
i think john is joan, he dresses up as a woman to get more acting roles, sometimes double dipping in the same movie.
...
The new commercial SUCKS!!!!!!! The marketing "team" should be hung for that one.
...
I have Dish Network Satellite TV in Market 1, I don't see, U.S. Cellular commercials. Only Verizon, Alltel, Sprint, Cingular, Tmobile. And alltel doesnt even have service anywhere around here.
...
Exactly!
Alltel has seen the value in creating a NATIONAL presence for themselves even though they may not offer service in the area they are advertising in. Some may call that throwing away money, I call it effective branding.
US Cellular hasn't got a clue.
...
We have a national name, but a local advertising campaign....
...
We don't even have a national name... No one besides the 7+ million subscribers know who US Cellular is. It's pathetic.
...
I mean the name. United States Cellular, in itself, is national.
...
Ohhh! Sorry didn't realize you were speaking literally. Good point!
...
TOO true.
chuck norris is just too extreme.
eh i dunno. but joan has got to go. the celebrity thing in general...
