Why is the price on the Razr so high? I would have to pay $449.00 for that phone because i'm not up for renewal on my contract... It seems like the other carriers are way cheaper...

wow i don't think that i drank this morning... that dint help at all i don't understand it my self... you see if you have a contract with us you are forced to pay retail for the phone in your case 450.00. now look at the retail for the same phone through say t mobil, keeping in mind it really is a different phone the camera is better (megapixle) it has more memory, just to name a few differences. your best bet is to find one at a used price back on a 30 day swap. just because it is a used phone it isn't in bad shape most stores will not take back a phone that has been abused...

just call up any store. the retail stores around my area, can sell them up to half off. we take a 3rd of the retail price. Ebay is also a good resource just make sure it doesn't have water damage, and it seems to be in good condition. i have told customers to do this when we don't have any phones and never have had a problem. if you ask if you can return it they some times will give you a week or so to check it out. good luck i hope it helps what area are you in ???

If I had one, I would sell it to ya for $10 more than I have in it, which right now would be 139. Keeping lots of used phones in stock doesn't do anybody any good. Makes me have to make room for them, makes customers upset at the high prices.

We have only had 5 razrs live past 30 days, and have never had one returned on a sat. guarantee. When you let parents buy them for kids they don't generally live very long.
I just did some quick math 73% of our razrs sold have gone to insurance already.

Make sure it is a USCC phone, not an unlocked Alltel, we have had bunches of customers get stuck with those. The second they go to OKC, where Alltel has towers, the phones revert and can't be reset to USCC without going to a tech. It's a nasty situation.

kyocera (radioshack) sends us alltel sohos and weird blue and silver ones with vertical displays when they need to replace one because they usually dont have the us cellular ones. Signal insurance also sends non-carrier specific phones, which is ok because they have us cellular software on them, but the corporate store refused to do an ESN change for someone with a verizon 7135 that had us cellular software on it because it was not "branded" i activated it but had a heck of a time with the programming because we have never carried 7135's at this location.

We have had the problem too, our AAE told us not to accept any more alltel or verizon phones from RadioShack repair. More of them don't work, than do. 7135s were very popular at this store. My husband has one, but he's worried. What will they replace it with if he breaks or loses it?

we just used them as loaner phones, they look a lot nicer than our regular ugly charcoal black.

We haven't had any of them come back to be used as loaner phones. I wish that USCC would do another smart phone that doesn't have to be hooked up to the blackberry service. Some people don't need all that service, they just want to reduce the number of things they have to carry around. The 7135 made a decent mp3 player, palm pilot and phone. That's all my dh uses it for. The always on internet connection would be cool, but the Blackberry can't edit or create documents like the 7135. DH has the fold up keyboard, that's cool!
