must be just you, my mom pays double what i pay for the same thing and she has verizon. i had to call them for her just to see exactly what she had and why she was paying so much, especially since she thought her nights and weekends started at 7.

I find that hard to believe. Compare verizon plans to USCC national plans and verizon is cheaper, and on top of that, verizon does not put limitations on their customers such as

50% rule, you can only use your night and weekend minutes, mobile to mobile minutes, and free incoming calls in USCC' territory

If I had time, I would put down a comparison for you, but, people can go and look for themselves, compare the national plans and you will find that verizon is the better deal.

Now, if you look at local plans and do not travel much, then USCC looks better. But, if you are going to compare to verizon, you need to go off the USCC's national plan.

last time i checked verizon charged $50 for 500 minutes, our 500 minute national plan is $40, for our nights and weekends may not be nationwide, but regional n+w start at 9, like verizons, which is crap, the n+w that start at 7 are local only, if verizon offered free incomming, it would not be allowed in our area either.

That is correct, if you want to just have the 9 start on nights, it is not any extra, that is my mistake. I still think for dollar for dollar that verizon has the cheaper plans for national plans. I have them both, and that is the way I think anyway.

Now, when it comes to the local plan, it would be tough for anyone to beat USCC. They have great local coverage, and the free incoming calls is a good benefit in my opinion. They need to fill the gap in NW Iowa and that would be a good plan for those people.

USCC is a regional carrier, and I would not expect them to beat out companies such as verizon or cingular, as they are national carriers and specialize in that. I always tell people in my area, that if you do not do a lot of trave...

You are right that if someone travels a lot and uses a lot of minutes then Verizon would probably be the way to go. But if you are mostly in your local area and occasionally travel then USCC is better. I don't know if Verizon does this or not but I have heard some companies automoatically extend your contract if you change plans. USCC does not do that, you can change your plan every month if you want to. I have a lot of people with businesses that only get incoming calls and use 10,000 plus min but 8,000 of those are incoming when they are in the local area. So for them the plan works out perfectly for them. Now if they travel across the country then I would reccomend them to Verizon. You also have to understand that USCC is a regional carri...

with verizon, you can change your plans without changing your contract if those plans are still being offered. This is one of the reasons in my opinion that verizon has a low turn over rate, they like to offer different plans here and there, and get people to go for a new year contract in order to switch to them. It has been a year since verizon's last plan change, Jan. 17th was the last one, so, it is about time for them to come out with a new plan that everyone will want so they can get us in contract again. That is one thing that I hate about verizon, they love their contracts, if you are not in a contract, they will try to get you into one.

And, as I said before, USCC is an awesome regional carrier, if I did not travel for a living...

T-Mobile is becoming very competitive -- might be worth looking into some of their plans. 🙂

I am A USCC RWC. I am actually locked into a plan (One month to go!) with Verizon...I think that the plan sucks...I can't wait until I can sign a USC Service Agreement! The coverage is better (my opinion) and the plan prices are better (my opinion) and I happen to think that the customer service is better! (A fact!) Go USCC!!!

The fact that you neglected, Alejandro was to ask me is that if I am a USC employee, and to that I reply, is that it is non of your damn business.

This is a free market and that people can pick and choose the service that they so wish.

Truth be told, I never said that I was or wasn't a USC employee.

Had you actually READ what I posted you, and used your brain before you responded, you would see that what I did say is that it is none of your business who I work for. Maybe I'm a secret agent for the government. Maybe I'm a NAVY Seal... Maybe I work in the local video store -- fact still remains that I know about USCellular than you do.

Alejandro says that he already knows that you do not work for US Cellular. Do you believe that statement? Do you think it is possible to know such a thing?

One might deduce from your ISP whether or not a particular post was made from a US Cellular store. But you could be posting from work or from home or from a friends house. Or from my computer here in the Oval Office. 😉

Oh blast. I should stop using the Oval Office computer when you're away, shouldn't I? I just can't help myself. 😲

the fact that you know nothing about us cellular policies and change your story when someone else corrects you is not the best way to prove that you do work here, so it is good to see you do not assert that you do work for us.
