Will USCC ever get one? I used one the other day on Cingular's service and it is a neat phone.

Not necessarily. Motorolas generally pass testing pretty quickly- Nokias are the ones that always get held up

the 6255 has been in testing for a long time. The RAZR is a piece of crap phone.. trust me I wouldnt sell that to a customer if U.S.C.C. paid me to! That phone has more software issues than a gateway pc.

USCC is very likely to carry the RAZR. Testing will be quicker than you think although its doubtful to be out for the holidays. Verizon is likely to sell it first.

Trust me. 🙂

USCC will not get this phone unless there is a technology change. The RAZER is working off of GSM. CDMA phones cannot be built this small. CDMA phones will always be a bit bulkier. Cingular's GSM coverage is still spotty and the RAZER doesn't seem to perform very well from the users that I have spoken with. It's a cool phone, but when your phone doesn't do the job of its primary function: to place and receive calls, who cares how cool it looks or the features it has?

My suggestion to you is simple: Do your research. There is a CDMA RAZR coming out. There even is info on it on PhoneScoop!!!!! Do not compare the GSM model to the CDMA in terms of functionality, etc. The only thing apples to apples between is cosmetic.

So, I will reiterate...USCC is likely to get the CDMA RAZR. Care to wager?

I talked to the motorola rep. and they are saying by turkey day, but you know how that goes. They always jump the gun on release dates. i.e. the 6255

Whatever you're willing to lose, my friend. Gotta a hunch? Bet a bunch!!!

I truly recommend you do some research here and elsewhere (i.e., Howard Forums). To be so adamant when there clear evidence is careless. We all know the RAZR is GSM but there is a CDMA RAZR in the works.

There are a lot of sharp people 'round these parts. There are also a lot of newbies, which is fine. Its up to you to filter the information. Good luck!

There is a cdma razr, which for a while had the nickname PAPR because it would be slightly thicker than the RAZR. It may be better, it may be worse, but it defininitely is.

The fact that you dont know this and still decided to post something regarding the subject is funny to me. You are not smart.

You know what, now that you mention it, I do seem to remember some reference to April fools. See? There goes my credibility, right out the window.
Thats funny to me too.

we should get the cdma razr after verizon has it for awhile. it might just be a all digital phone like the lg 6000 lg 7000 and the lg 8100. so yeah we might not even see that because we want to give our customers the best service and not everything in our coverage area's are digital!!! thats just something to chew on for awhile!! 😁

The cdma razr has Ev-Do. USCC dont have Ev-Do or even announced of having it anytime in the near future(atleast thats wut i know)....

The EV-DO can be turned off and a USCC RAZR can use 1X. USCC will have EV-DO sometime in 2006 but its not necessary to when using an EV-DO capable handset. The trick is in the software that will come with the USCC handset.
