SoHo versus Moto v262

Hello,
I am new to this board and am getting ready to get USCC service. But, I am trying to decide which phone to get. I am interested in clear reception only. I am not at all in need of a camera or any other add-ons. Right now I can get either the Kyocera SoHo or the Motorola v262 for the same low price. I live in a rural area where reception is generally poor and was wondering if anyone has either of these phones and could recommend one. They both get wonderful reviews from what I have found online, but I have been told the SoHo was more durable. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance,
Amy

In the area where I am, the Nokia 6019i is the same price as the Soho and the 262. From the feedback that I have heard, the reception on the Nokia and the 262 are better than the Soho. If you are going for a flip phone, I would go with the 262. I don't like Motorola, but at all three of our stores, people seem to be much happier with 262. I have seen a lot of Soho LCD screens (where the Caller ID shows up when the phone is flipped shut) break very easily. Again, this is just what I have seen, you may get someone who thinks the exact opposite but I hope this was helpful. Have a great day!

WELL, I GET COMPLAINTS ALL THE TIME ABOUT THE 262 SO I WOULD GO WITH THE SOHO. BUT IF YOU CAN I WOULD GET THE 6019 BECAUSE NOKIAS GET THE BEST RECEPTION.

It gives off the appearance that one is yelling. And although my grammar has it's flaws, 100% capitalization just looks horrid.

I have the Moto V262 and have never had any problems whatsoever from the phone as far as service is concerned. I live in a more urban setting, but I would still go with that phone over the Kyo SOHO

As someone that does Tech support for USCC that would be my recommendation --- V262

is the 262 mic and earpiece just a removeable item? like the v120? and why do they keep going bad?

The moto is the way to go. The soho do not get the battery life like the moto does, and the signal is much better on the moto 262 as well

the 262 is a god phone, but it is a defective phone. I'm guessing around 25% are bad (mostly earpiece. I can't count how many customers have come in with their 262 saying "I can't hear anyone on my phone unless my speaker is on" and i feel bad for them.

I thought USCC tested the phones before they sold them. Can you say B.S. 🙄

yeah, i disagree with an extended testing process, most of "testing" is compatability with network (Can you say easyedge?) Because there is a difference between 20-40 reps with a phone for a couple months and mass production.

If we had some real testers, it probable would not take so long.

I haven't seen a phone with the speaker/mic defect sold in months. They resolved the issue and if you are still getting phones like this, just don't sell them. Replace the speaker/mic with the correct one before you sell it.

I would get a motorola phone, they seem to have the best reception from what i hear. You can force analog on motorola phones, if that is of any importance to you.
