If I know the sublock code on an old 60c Motorola can I take it to a store and they hook it up to a PST and program it? I had it from an old job and need to add another line. My son always like the phone.

thanks

depends on the store. it is against policy but it can be done as long as it is a cdma phone that can go lower than 1900mhz

Actually the answer is no.

The V60ci is not E911 compliant, therefore no USCC store or agent can activate it on a new line of service. Sorry.

The 911 issue makes sense.

Thanks, thats a better answer than I got at the retail location which was "we just can't".

and $300 for 3 phones? i'm guessing you are asking for top of the line anyway, those phones new without contract are 250 themselves. If you were really willing to save money and contract length you would just get the cheapies. Just get insurance and pay the extra fee when your phones die.

Why would you even if you could? If you are starting a new contract and a new line of service get a new phone! Usually you can get one for almost nothing if not totally free, and then you have a warranty to boot!

I am not starting a new contract or line of service. This is for a 3rd line which does not get discount pricing. The cheapest is still $60 and this is my son paying for his own handset. What I do not like is having to pay the additional $30 premium. . Asked about Pre-owned...store wanted 150!?! This was $30 more than adding the exact same phone NEW as a 3rd line. This makes things a little confusing

I could renew and replace one of the other 2 lines but then these are 2 years old and do not last forever either. Best deal I could find for all three still requires about $300 up front before rebates. Rebate on my original purchase to 14 weeks.

Just looking for most economical way to replace all if possible. Any suggestions?

used phones are not used for long, few stores sell used phones that have been used for longer than a month. those phones new are at least 100 dollars more. thats how much the companies carriers for them and thats how much they will cost from any carrier, it seems close to the sharetalk price because the price rebated for a sharetalk is the price rebated off of a brand new phone.
