Wanting to upgrade
I am wanting to upgrade but I'm willing to wait for the possible new phones Tour or pro touch 2, will be my 1st smartphone. I know nothing is set in stone; that we will get them. (I figure a few months on tour little longer on pro 2) but the lady in the retail office said it would be next summer on the Tour. Will it really take that long to test the phone? Is there really that much different in software over the Curve 8330? Is there any phone or any possible phones coming in the near future, besides the HTC Pro that has WiFi?

My experience has been that the retail locations want to move their current product so they give these exaggerated timeframes. Although no one knows the release dates for sure (of if they do know them they can't say), the Tour will release sooner than what she told you. A LOT sooner, if the folks over at HOFO are to be believed, and they've been extremely reliable in the past. 😉

Exactly the same here. Have a month or so to go. My wife and daughter just got LG Tritans and I thought I would see how they liked them before I decided. Have had a RAZR for the last 4 year. Thinking about trying to find a used Curve 8330 to see if I like the BB OS and get a Tour when it comes out or change over to WM OS and the TP2.
