EVDO Testing?

a buddy of mine went today to uscc office to talk with the repair tech. about a problem he had. When the tech. told him that employees in ENC were testing the new evdo & it should go online for everyone Aug. 1st. My question is it possible for that to even happen.(only a select few being able to test? Is there an update you have to do to enable evdo? Just asking

Yes it is possible. Same thing here in New England. They force the PRL to the phones that agent demo lines and corporate associates have active via OTA.

You can do a *228 and see if it is available to the public yet, that's the way it was in the phase 2 testing. Customers could get it a week before it was advertised.
