Old Plans???

ezekiel422

Is there a way to get an old plan? For example, I would like the old Family plan for unlimited texting only. I do not want my kids to be able to picture message and I don't want to pay for a plan and then block half of what I am paying for.

At last check, when activating new lines of service or adding an old fam txt plan to an existing account, it can be done if the associate remembers the soc code. Although the plan has been retired, the soc code has not been expired YET.

You would definitely need to visit a corporate store. As an agent, I hate saying those words, but this time it would be necessary. Agents can't apply SOC's to an account. AIM is the worst program ever... ๐Ÿ˜•

sorry to burst the collective bubble here, people, but once a soc has been retired (which older plans and add-ons no longer offered are expired) it cannot be added to an account, CARES simply will not allow it. it has nothing to do with whether a rep remembers the old code, because all old socs can still be easily found on the intranet, but still will not work. only the remedy team can add an old soc, and it must be for a very compelling reason, ususally as another respondent said due to rep error. from this point going forward, the only way to get unlimited texting is to get the unlimited messaging plan, which will include pix and video

Wow. Do I hate to burst your bubble, cell766, but I have done it enough times to know what I say is fact, not fiction.

Very nice. What you really just said is, "jacksback, how can I get you fired?" You're a jewel.

Accept the fact that packages like this are short term promotions (better known as "sales") just like any other industry. When the promotion is over like this is, they're gone.

Suck it up and pay for the current offering. Don't like it, don't buy it. But don't ask someone to do something unethical that can get them fired. I would sure like to know what you do for a living and ask you to get yourself fired. ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

I shouldn't have asked. as for sucking it up. I have 2 teens on my plan and don't really want them to have picture messaging capabilities. Maybe you should listen to the news and see what trouble the pic messages are causing for teens and there parents. You'll still think I'm a jewel, but I'm looking out for my kids not my wallet.Sure I can pay for the service and have it blocked but what sense does that make.

better parenting and teaching kids what is right and wrong solves a lot of todays problems with kids. I don't think blocking a feature that is now approved by the mass population is the correct solution just parent your kids.

Ezekiel, I was not meaning to tease you by saying that it could be done, but as jaimic said, sharing information such as that here would get an employee fired because it is unethical and violates our code of conduct. While it can be done, I will just insert my foot in mouth at this point because you would have to come into the store to get this done.

No associate who values their jaob would go against company policy and activated a retiring plan without partnering with a manger with a manager and IS to get this to happen and it is only done in etreme situations.

if you want the new package then why would you want to block something that is unlimited? they can't go over on text, and your not paying 25 cents per pic.
