Due to the material breach in contract by US Cellular, you can in fact get out of contract without paying the ETF. I know for a fact at least 3 people that have. This is your chance to truly "believe in something better" yeah like Verizon!

US Cellular beats Verizon in call quality and customer service in every market where they are compared head to head. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Oh my bad, I guess I didn't realize that 1X and easy edge are "something better"...... I think it should say, "Believe some day we'll be better"....

how did US Cellular survive not offering wireless services that were any good? It's like buying a car and it being a optionless Kia, and paying more than I would for a BMW.... Just becuase Kia will give me marginally better customer service....

aside from faster data transfer speeds (which are coming to many markets by the end of next month), what exactly is better about Verizon??

To compare Verizon to a BMW and USCC to an optionless Kia is just stupid.

I'm not going to knock Verizon, as I think they are a good company and will probably one day buy us out, but as it stands right now, for the same price, USCC has far more "options" than Verizon does in terms of price plans (although I will concede that our phone selection is pathetic)

I have to agree that USCC should be letting customers out of their contracts without ETF if they do not agree to the unnecessary price increase. However, I would caution that you call into customer service and discuss your options with them before simply porting out to another carrier off of the advice listed above.

And also note that your giving up good benefits like 7pm nights/weekend AND free incoming calls/texts if you go to Verizon as KJ recommends.
