Outrageous Prepaid Rates

After shopping around extensively for a good value in prepaid service, I was shocked to learn the price for the pay as you go program from USCC. $6 a month or 15 cents a minute or $10 a month for 10 cents a minute. This is almost as expensive as the morons at AT&T charge. T-Mobile is taking over the prepaid market. USCC better wake up, they are pricing themselves out of the ballpark. There is a good buck to be made in prepaid, but once again USCC has missed the boat.

Why do prepaid?

Prepaid sucks your right because we dont make that much money on it so therefore they want you to get a contract.

700 min/ free nights and weekends and Incomming calls for
39.99 a month
0-100 deposit usually
Free camera phone

Sounds like a real good deal to me but I am not scared of a contract that starts at 150 to get out and prorates each month after till end. I understand that I am getting a good deal and discount on a phone for a contract that if for some reason i need to leave i can for a minium charge.

I do admit that the pre paid are not great but remember we are a business and phones, maintaince, expansion, salaries, operating cost ect.. are not free....

We make no money off selling it, the customers are difficult to deal with and, as an agent, I can look up no information on the accounts to answer questions.

I do agree that prepaid customers are a little more difficult to deal with, but we are always able to solve their problem. If you have been watching our news releases we have been test marketing a better prepaid plan in the Milwaukee area. You can always call a corporate location for assistance. I know i'm ALWAYS happy to help our agent partners. They make up atleast 30% of USC's income.

So go to Tmobile then. If I never had to deal with another loser prepay customer, I'd be a much happier person.

I really do hate prepaid with a passion but at least I get something outta it. I agree with being an agent its a little irritating, but its nothing that a phone call wont change. Yes, you do have to be on hold for about 5 minutes. Just think of it this way. When those customers are ready to go to a real plan then, you know that you helped them out with their prepaid and you might just get a sell outta it.
