Rigorous testing processes. Then they go to User testing and if it doesn't pass it isn't getting launched until fixed. Be thankful we're not launching lemons.

"not launching lemons."

Ya, I mean the 5550 was great phone. And lets all line up for the Soho...

Testing is useless. Get it out to the customers and let them decide what works and what does not. Don't let a few middle age employees tell us what is good for our customers!

"Don't let a few middle age employees tell us what is good for our customers!"

Hmmmm... I don't know, I may be wrong but 25 (26 in two days) doesn't sound like midle aged to me.
I have been part of the FUT process and tested phones out like the 245 and the 6100 before they launched.

Its all sorts of people who test these phones.

If we launched "lemons" then it would cost the company Hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars to satisfy those customers that didn't like it with new equipment. Bad business.

Amen!!!!

I have two things to say.

1. US Cellular provides easily the best service in the market for cell phone. We offer the added value to our customers to out do the big three. There is just two major flaws with our current strategy and this forum post talks about it directly.

- we can not test phones to see if the are "not lemons" for months especially if they are phones that have been working fine on Verizon, Alltel, Metro and other carriers for up to a Year already. Last time I checked the CDMA technology that Verizon has used the Q on for a Year is the SAME as US Cellular's. SO tell me why are we testing a proven phone for so long... or even testing it at all......
(ps. i understand the roker and other new phones being...

you see...U.S. Cellular only releases phones after no other carrier wants them and U.S. Cellular can get them at a cheap price and make a whole bunch of money off of them since they aren't paying much to get them in the first place...the simple answer is..they haven't been testing the Q... they probably tested it after all the other carriers were done with it..thats why U.S. Cellular will never be a major carrier not only because they can never release new phones that are actually up to date but the network is pathetic...i have no complaint about my service in my area but if i go 45 miles west and i'm roaming...if i go 30 miles north im roaming... since at&t bought Cellular One, i definately know who i will have once my contract is up 😁

Ok, One you dont know what your talking about. USCC like to test their phones, make sure they work. It takes long, because they test the phones harder then other providers. Thats why companies like Sprint, Verizon and ATT allway have problems with their phones. Relist it so early to beat out everybody else. Thats way there dumb and USCC is not.

Two, the Q that Verizon and Sprint that got sooner then others. Started having problem from the start. USCC now that haves it, less problem and more customer issues.

Three, USCC has phones that other carriers dont have. Like the Project Red RAZR. And big diffrence with USCC and Verizon. USCC would like to make customers happy with their service. Not like other carriers, who dont care about their...
