Possible?

Long story short. I have two lines, one that is eligible for a new phone and one that is not. I spoke to a customer service rep the other day and asked how much it would cost to get a RAZR for the line that is not eligible. She said to buy the phone with the discount for the line that is eligible then transfer it over to the other line and use the existing phone for the line that is eligible. Sorry if this sounds confusing, but is it possible?

Yea I work at an agent location and we do it almost everyday you just have to wait until the next calender day to switch them or it will screw up how USCC pays our company for the particular phone. And the part on it getting fuzzy by asking someone at an agent location it matters on which sales rep or manager you ask there. What it seems like i've noticed being a manager at an agent location is there is usually one person in in location that knows there stuff and when questions arise they get asked by other coworkers what the deal is. Least thats how it is here haha

So you're admitting that half of your staff doesn't know what they're talking about? That sounds pretty crazy. you might want to work on that. I know that I work at a retail location and we get people coming over from agents all the time and they were completely misinformed, but *we* get the rap.

keep in mind it works both ways. i just shrug what the customers say about reail off. our company shouldn't be working against one another, simply with one another, whether agent or retail.

Yeah that is definitely true! I think that instead of some of the meetings that we go to for useless stuff, more time should be spent on co-operation between calls centers/ agents/ and retail. The company would run a lot smoother if everyone was on the same page.

Round my neck of the woods we work well with other stores in the area wether they be retail or agent! Except when it comes to loaners! For some reason nobody likes shareing those!

No i'm not saying half my staff doesnt know what they're doing, what I was trying to say is that no matter where you go agent or retail more than likely there is going to be someone in the store more educated about def. aspects. Unless they all started at the same time have all the same customers with all the same problems and all have the same learning rate. My staff knows what they're doing but yes occaisionally they do have questions for me b/c I have more experience then they do.

anyways, back to the subject, you want to renew your 1st line and get a discount on the phone and activate it on your second line. I did this five times today alone, USCC actually has a policy on it and they say its a ok. so get into your RETAIL store and tell them what you want!

I used to work for an USCC agent, and this is most certainly possible. We did it all the time for our customers. The only time that it gets a little fuzzy is when you want to move it off of your acct, and that is due to commissions that USCC pays us, not our choice. So as long as it is the same acct (ie a family plan) there shouldn't be an issue.

I do it about every other day. However depending on which rep you get they may charge you an equipment change fee to swap the phones but if you come to my store I wouldn't as long as you renewed the first line with me and not someone else!!!! 🙂 🙂
