Will I still be charged for the early termination fee due to the rate increase clause?

yes.. features are not a guaranteed rate.. it's still cheaper than most other companies pay as you go rate.. so there's not a fighting chance to win that arguement.

or just add a $5 text package to your plan and get 250 outgoing messages w/ unlimited free incoming....its $5 and w/o one if you send 25 messages your already paying $5...thats 245 FREE messages

Unfortunatly you will be charged an early termination. Text messaging is an optional feature. They raised night and weekend prices on everybody a year or two ago. Everybody wanted out at that point too.

optional features such as texting.

Your contract applies to a length of time, not a plan or opt feature you choose.

It basically says you'll be a customer with us for 24 months and if you cancel before that you pay the $150.

Luckily, US cellular doesn't change the price of your actual PLAN while you are in a contract, you can be grandfathered into those most of the time.

But YOU CHOOSE to text. If you don't like the price increase, DON'T TEXT.
