HELP NEED INFO
if i go to flash my helio ocean will i be able to get all the features working? like internet and text messages or is there a way to ass it when metro flashes it

When MetroPCS flashes a phone, only voice and standard text are active.
Web, Picture messaging, Mobile IM, ect... any programs that run off another carrier's network will not work on Metro.
Text and Talk... anything else will not work.

So, is it worth it?
I was thinking of buying an OCEAN to flash it to metro, but if I can't access the web, email, or Multimedia messanging, then I don't know.
The features of the phone will still work right? Music player, games, tools, etc?

Honestly... unless you have money to blow, I wouldn't recommend buying an Ocean just to flash over to Metro.
You sign a liability release form when you do the flash for a reason. games and multimedia capibilities are almost always gone. They are working on a way around that, but as of right now, the phone is ONLY good for talk and text. Some tools like Calculator and other basics, usually survive the flash, but MP3 is sketchy...
I have seen phones still maintain some features, but most are wiped clean... and in rare cases, some crash completly and become a paperweight.
In a few days, I may be flashing over a Verizon LG-8300... if the MP3 still works, I'll let you know, just remember... when you flash a phone, they will not give mone...

Firestarter 2012 is exactly right. The Metro Flash was set up for people who did not want to have to spend money buying a new Metro PCS phone and had old phones from other carriers lying around. But not to go out and buy these expensive phones with other Carriers to turn them into Metro phones. So if you have an old Verizon or Sprint phone that you loved and already have, then this would be good.
