I am tired of waiting for a new phone from metro that is as good as my nokia slider so I was looking on ebay at unlocked verizon and sprint I figure that both companies are cdma carriers so if any phone would work on the metro network it would be one of those.
My question is this if I do buy one of what do I need to do to get them to work simply take them down to metro store and they can roll them over or what?
If anyone know please let me know.

I dont know how many times people will say this but you CAN NOT just buy an unlocked phone from ebay, your mother, your mothers lesbian lover, or anywhere for that matter and us it on Metro Pcs.. Only phones with metros firmware and registered esn's in metros data base can be used.....

It is pretty much the same way with the major CDMA wireless carriers like Verizon Wireless, Sprint and Alltel. I'm sure Cricket is the same way as MetroPCS. I don't know of any CDMA carrier who will flash their firmware into a generic CDMA handset or load that particular ESN into their database.
