Vision Vs. Power vision

I've had Sprint's vision since it launched and I'm quite satisfied. The thing is, all the current vision phones suck and I've been eyeing the Samsung A840 and the blade phone (currently use a Sanyo RL4920). The features on the Power vision are quite tempting but I don't want to have to pay extra for features that are currently grandfathered with my vision plan.

To cut a long story short, are any new phones coming out for the vision level of service or is Sprint going to be phasing vision out or if I switch do I still get to transfer over my current price point?

Thanks in advance.

There will be a new mid level camera phone from sanyo coming out soon, not sure if it will have vision, but I know it's not a power vision phone. Also, if you don't care about a camera, the new motorola is vision capable. But don't worry about them phasing out vision, that's the last thing Sprint would do. But no, if you have an old vision plan (with all sorts of extras really cheap), they won't be able to switch that over to a power vision plan, not yet at least. And I would stray away from the 840, its an old phone, and they are due to come out with some new phones that are comparable to that one.

The sanyo 3100 is vision capable. it's has pretty much the exact same feature list as the 840 but in a more reliable name brand.

If you switch from your 4920 (regular vision) to a power vision phone, your cost for vision will go up. I think the regular vision is 15.00 and power vision is 25.00.....worth the 10.00 for sure if you live in an EV-DO capable market.....SO much faster connection and download speed!

Vision Packs had $10, $15 and $20 options. Power Vision has $15, $20 and $25 options.

Old Vision plans are not avilable for EVDO enabled handsets. Not all phones are EVDO enabled.
