How about everyone who is paying the extra $10 for premium data to use 4g, even though 4g is not nationwide form a class action suit. I think it would work!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah, but as a Sprint rep, I have to tell you that the $10 extra is not a charge for the 4g per se. It is to enjoy the data rich experience that both the Evo and Epic have to offer!

In non-bs talk, it's like this:

1. Sprint wants a bit back from all the data that the owners of these phones would inevitably be using, and as such "taking advantage" of the unlimited data and making Sprint lose in the transaction;

2. Sprint rents the spectrum from Clear, and so it is a way to pass the costs down to the customer;

3. Sprint will tell you that, even with the premium data charge, you'd still pay more with another carrier for the same service and support, and T-Mobile is the only one who still currently offers unlimited data for smartphones...

T-Mobile is the only one who still currently offers unlimited data for smartphones

...Everything Data has unlimited data for smartphones; it's only the 'brand new 4G network capable' phones getting charged that $10.

If we charged $10 for every smart phone, we'd have been outta business a while ago; we don't offer tiered yet; thus we're still "unlimited" in that sense.

But agreed; don't bother with the class action suit; it's not worth it.

I'm sorry about that. I meant to put that T-Mobile is the only OTHER one. Whatever you say about us, that evd plan sure is sweet.

Yes. AT&T is the only carrier without a current offering for Unlimited Data on a smartphone. Their existing customers can keep it if they already have the feature, however. That AND the iphone exclusive is one helluva churn buster.

Not according to their website. I saw a 5gb add-on for martphones for $30. Granted, it's a really high feature, but it's not quite unlimited. And the price!

Not sure why the site is showing this at the moment, but it's wrong. Menno and I found other areas that put the right plans up. The plans you say showed $9.99 for 25MB, $29.99 for 5GB, and $1.99/MB pay per use - these are old plans for 3G Multimedia phones and Feature phones. But for whatever reason, they're popping up when you click on "Requires a Data Plan" on a smartphone.

Here's a valid link with valid pricing:

Additionally, Menno was able to go through the store as if he were a new customer, and it only had the $15 150MB, $30 Unlimited, or $45 Business plans.

What you're seeing doesn't even exist any more, unless you already had it. I don't kno...

I stand corrected. Unl data is still cheaper with Sprint, but then again phones are cheaper with Verizon.

Over the years, it seems like there's never a clear-cut winner across every category. Each carrier has their strong points.

And that is one of the few examples of how a free market can succeed. We have numerous options, and we just have to pick which one is better for us.

Except on broadband cards. They're all the same in the Big Four.

That is not the Email and Web foe Smartphone feature which is unlimited. That is to tether your phone to a computer. It has a 5GB cap just as an aircard would.

Sure, write another 7-digit paycheck to some blood-sucking southern California lawyer-troll.

That'll show 'em!
