Best thing of all....read the comments. A Verizon rep starts doing the very thing the blogger was complaining about....priceless!

Verizon: Here’s the Truth About Sprint 4G
By James Kendrick Apr. 16, 2010, 5:14pm CDT 91 Comments 35 161

Today is a historic day in Mobile Tech Manor. It is the first day in a decade that I have no service on the Verizon phone network. I canceled my long-time account as I signed up for Sprint 4G service to go with my Palm Pre voice line on Sprint. It wasn’t a move I made lightly, I tested the Sprint 3G and 4G networks and decided the Sprint service was a better value for me. I entered the Verizon store to cancel my voice and data lines with mixed emotions. The lying I was blasted with by Verizon employees made the process much easier on me than ...

Not that a consumer could have prefered Sprint. That makes sense, But this writer is an assclown. Who goes into a store to cancel service? Its not like he had to return his phones like they are bowling shoes.

To do stuff in person.

Granted I'm not one of them... but maybe he was driving around and was like "Oh yeah... I need to do that. While I'm here, might as well just go inside".

Playing devils advocate, sure... but there are some reasons why someone would use the door instead of the phone.

I think a majority of people I server prefer to keep their numbers...

while a good portion don't care.

A small percentage want/need a new number.

Just my personal observations from the customers I deal with on a day by day basis.

Or maybe he just wanted to try out the service before he switched. That is what I am doing with Sprint my main number is with T-mobile which I use for most of my calls and my other number is with Sprint for which I use for data.

Sprint sucks no matter what they do. Not to mention, anyone claiming to have been lied to in a Verizon store is obviously lying themselves. Verizon doesn't employ anyone like that-- ever. That's about as dumb as saying there are places where Verizon doesn't work. Can't they see how red their map is?

This has to be BS. Currently there are no phones available on Sprint's network that are 4G capable. That is why the HTC EVO is a big deal, it is the first 4G device.

This person was either lied to by Sprint associates that her phone would be faster browsing, or I completely missed the point in the article stating that this was for wireless air card use.

Sprint you will be faster with the EVO, but this right here was a made up story, by a Sprint associate no less I'm guessing.
