Wow! Those poor folks will only save $15.00 per month on a family plan compared to AT&T and Verizon.

Life is so unfair! 😢

being on the other end of the phone, i do know first hand that on a general basis, the spending limit accounts cause more calls for issues with their limits than any other issue on regular account. This then causes the company to shell out more money to the reps that handle the calls and need to recoup it somehow. I personally have a SL and i am not upset about the charge. just something else to deal with.

it means your credit wasnt good enough to give you free reign to run up a thousand dollar bill.

Once your bill gets to your spending limit (usually because people dont pay the full balance by the due date, and next months bill adds to the current month), your service gets suspended until you pay it back under your SL.

Other things that impact your spending limit:
Content purchases (games, ringers, etc)
International calls/text
Minute/Text overages
411 calls

Customers can get the fee waived if they sign up for auto-pay?

I think its fantastic.. pay your bill on time and your SL doesnt get you shut off, this is a super simple way to make that happen

So simple in fact, that someone will come in here and ask for a save plan because Sprint is bending them over with the extra $4.99/month. 🙄

No, Sprint is not going to START. They are going to CONTINUE, and EXPAND the $4.99, $12.99 ASL monthly fee. This is according to where you are living and the final result of the credit check. .

Currently there are some people who do pay now for having a Spending Limit. and it can just not be avoided..

I wonder if these existing would be able to set up auto payment as well to avoid the monthly charge.

I have a freind that lives in Hardin KY and he is charged $12.99 right now and has been paying this for the past few years.

Some existing customers have SL fees. These customers will be changed over to the new charge of $4.99. For many this is less than they are paying now. If they choose the auto-pay the fees will be waived; not only that but if you pay your bill ON TIME EVERYTIME for 13 months you can have your SL removed. Good for everyone.

Lets see.

Sprint family plan for 2 lines = 129.99 plus $15 in taxes and fees and another $5.00 for spending limit fee. Total =149.99

Att family plan 59.99 plus $30 for text and $60 for 2 data plans and $4 in taxes and fees for a total of 153.99.

Wow I'm so excited for all those savings. No 5 bucks isn't alot, but when you pay an arm and a leg with Sprints outrageous other taxes it does add up.

The any mobile, anytime only works if your NOT roaming. I have yet to watch a TV program on Sprint that isn't a choppy, blurry mess. As for music I can download my own onto my phone. Att also has rollover so covered there as well. GPS, there are other ways around that one. So in the end what is 5 bucks? Not much.

I also have never had to pay a deposit with Att, and I've got a high credit score. So why did I end up with a spending limit with Sprint? Because I'm a new customer?

Why can't someone explain to me why I pay almost TRIPLE in taxes and fees with Sprint?

Free mobile to mobile doesn't apply while roaming on AT&T or Verizon- what is your point?

I say it's much better to be able to call 250 million people for free than the paltry 60-80 million you'd get with the other guys.

Since this isn't true for me or anyone else, I'd say this point is basically worthless.

What good is rollover if you are someone wh

I'm not trying to bash Sprint in any way. I got excellent coverage for Sprint in my area when I had them. But the first line I had was an everything data plan at 69.99, my final bill ended up being around $78 bucks. That IS alot in taxes and fees.

And this thread started with saying basically whats an additional 4.99 a month. Well that can mean alot to some people, as it did me.

You paid $8 in tax? And? Where is the issue? This is pretty normal with all the fed/state/local charges.

I am surprised that no one has mentioned the employee il discounts. Before I became a rep I had share 1500 data 129.99 insurance on both phones. The 12 percent discount from mcdonalds covered taxes plus like 5 more bucks. I'll take that any day. Chase bank employees get 27% so.........yeah best. value in wireless for sure
