If I have unlimited internet for free because....
My account is crap and they gave me it to keep me...... can I get a blackberry or an instinct without changing my plan? Also the pre.... if I could afford that... would I nee dto do a simply everything plan even know I am on a family plan with unlimited internet?

you should be able to keep it with a blackberry but not the instinct. depends on what type of phone you have now. no on the pre as well.

The Instinct and Pre require plan codes that won't work on older family plans. On newer plans that work for the Instinct and Pre data is an integrated part of the plan, not an add-on.
You'd have to change to your own individual plan or have the whole family plan converted to the newer one, if you go with an Instinct, Pre, and future similar type devices.
So, your best bet for those is probably a discount based on where you work (not compatible with the $99 simply everything plan).
Blackberries have their own coding. On old plans it was a data plan code that was/is different than a regular data phone. On new plans, the entire plan code is different to apply Blackberry data provisioning. I've never seen a "free" Blackberry data ad...
