I did it...I'm a new Sprint Customer!

I was going to wait on switching carriers but my Helio Fin is on its last leg. 🙄 I saw the online special for the Sanyo Eclipse X...free with instant rebate. I couldn't pass that up so I ordered that one in black even though I really like pink. The black just looked more mature. I was told by telesales that if I don't like the color I could just take it to a corporate store and exchange it for the pink. I have a question though...will the reps at the corporate store be able to transfer my pix from the Helio phone to my new phone? I have a lot of really cute pix of my 2 year old that I don't want to lose. I was told to just upload them to the Sprint Picture Mail site but when you register they send the password to your handset an...

Yes, any corporate store should and WILL be able as long as they have em in stock. Personally, I like the black. Since the lights on the outside change colors, its more noticable on the black than on the Pink. But hey! Welcome aboard! Do you know any friends or family that have Sprint? if so, thers a referral program that will benefit both! Within 15 days of activation dial #REF and it will ask you for the 10 digit number of the person who referred you. Enter that, and in a couple of weeks you'll both receive a $25 Visa Debit card. As of pictures, i looked up the Model number of the Fin, which i believe is the Samsung A513

All correct, except dude, ANY sanyo is closer to the Eclipse than the samsung M610. and do you use cellebrite?

unplug the rj45 plug (networking cable look likes a big telephone plug) from the back of your computer and plug it into the cellbrite and go to
services----> upgrade application now---> http server


th enew software will have the 6750 and many other new phones, after your done replace the networking cable and restart computer.

No i use Cellebrite, Im just saying the Samsung Fin (AKA Samsung A513) wasnt showing in the Cellebrite List. So the closest phone to the Samsung Fin that I could think of was the Samsung M610

Take your memory card out of the Fin, put it into the Eclispe, check to see if the phone will recgonize them, if not the pictures need to be put in the right directory.

To do so, hopefully by you putting the card into the phone, Sanyo will automatically put the folders on there. Next hook up the card to your PC (card reader w/ adapter) and move the pictures from current location to the DCIM folder, if there is a sub folder, put them in there. Another easy way to make sure you put them in the right folder is to put the memory card into the phone and take a picture and save it to the memory card. This whole process will take you maybe 10 min or so if you have access to computer and card reader.

Just make sure you DO NOT format your card...

Yep, you have a 30 day return or exchange. Oh, unless you want to exchange your phone for one specific reason, then you dont.
lol.. try enforcing that rule, see how fast I RETURN my phone.

Wtf! I didn't purchase my phone in store! You are trying to be a smartass when I said that I ordered it online! I thought I would like the black but pink suits me better so thats what I exchanged it for. Stay of my forum topic with the BS ok? 😡

Well I do apologize I did misread somewhere. But my point still stands, even if you ordered it online, and dont like the color, send it back immediately, within your thirty days. You dont even have to give them a reason. Just send it back for a full refund. Then after thats sorted out. Order the phone/color you want.

Well I didn't have to send it back. I just went to the Sprint store down the street from my home and exchanged it for the color I wanted. I'm very happy with my phone and I figured out how to transfer all pix. On my old phone I saved ALL of my pix to the SD Card and transferred to my new phone via Bluetooth. 😁

Thank you guys but I've decided to keep the black. I like it alot. I am also transferring pix and phone contacts myself. Its cold and rainy here and I really don't feel like getting out in that kind of weather. I don't know if I mentioned this but I was with Sprint like 3 years ago. A lot of things have changed since then. I am very happy with my phone and the customer service so far. I ordered my phone on Saturday and got it on Monday. I called this morning to complete the activation of my service and the rep was very kind and helpful. She sent a request to have my company discount added to account and she let me know that it can take up to 60 days. The bottom line though is: who cares what you or other subscribers who left Sprint think? Most people here have Sprint because of work, or just because something else doesn't get an adequate signal where they live.

agreed with above statement! I get good single from att us cellular t-mobile and now the dead alltel and I chose sprint over them. Cheaper better support and getting better.

Whatever. I am happy with the service that Sprint is providing so far. I ordered my phone Jan 2nd and I received it a day before the scheduled due date! When I called customer service to complete the activation of my phone the rep was very professional and nice. I asked about having my company discount added. She submitted a request and she did inform me that it could take up to 60 days for it to be applied to my account. Well I got an email confirmation the next day letting me know that I will see the discount on my Feb bill. When I went to the store and exhanged my phone for a different color I didn't have to wait in a line(this particular coporate store stays pretty busy), the rep that assisted me with the exchange was very nice and...

Whats wrong with sprint? For what i pay in sprint I'd be paying twice as much with anyone else and their customer service is getting a lot better when I called them last time I actually talked to an American that's a plus over most of the others right their lol people that hate sprint usually are people that couldn't get their way and so are crying.. here is a tissue enjoy.

No, no, no. Many people had legitimate complaints about Sprint and left for valid reasons. But if you get good service at a fair price and are happy, who cares what the trolls say? Ignore them. And for the record, many Americans have accents.
