Computer won't recognize blackberry 8330

Hi, i have the 8330 for sprint and I am having trouble getting the computer to detect the curve. I am running windows vista 64 bit on my computer and everytime i connect the phone via USB the charging icon on the phone shows up for a few seconds and disapears. Blackberry desktop manager isn't recognizing any device when connected to the computer via USB.

I tried calling sprint tech support but she said it isn't compatible with 64 bit computers. I have a feeling she didnt know what she was talking about because it DID sync before on the same computer. That's how I got all my contacts, calendar events, tasks and notes in my phone.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

If your computer isn't even charging anymore throught the USB, you might have a incorrect cable or USB port that is not combatable. But if you're using the one in the box, then it shouldn't be much of an issue.

But also using 64 bit Vista OS, I have seen some USB drive issues. You could try to unistall the Blackberry program then re-install it, I know Windows has a lot of errors that you constantly have to un-install then re-install the program.

They were correct in the fact that Sprint dosn't have a whole ton of software for the 64 bit as well.
