Instinct Text Message Landscape Default

Apparently when you write a text message it automatically defaults to landscape mode and no way to select portrait as default, why is this?

I would think to have a full QWERTY keyboard. I know this was something Samsung and Sprint were working on. Hopefully the glitch will be fixed by launch.

Samsung said because most users prefer landscape mode when texting, which I disagree. I can out text anybody one handed in portrait mode.

What I mean is touch sceen is a hugh difference in texting than buttons. I could fly trough T9 on my Muziq, now with my mogul I can't even drive and text anymore

It really isnt that difficult when you are on the texting screen you press one button and you have if portrait mode, and I did actually play with it

and you press one more button and you draw on the screen what letter you want and it brings it up in the txt box. 😁

Now that I"ve switched back to a regular phone, yes, but I don't need to look at the phone in order to use T9.

I can text and drive with my Mogul no problem.... To be fair though, I never liked t9.

Just to let you know, that there is a way to set up the text in portrait mode. how don't know. But i have a website that shows the qwerty keyboard in portrait mode and landscape

ok the guy in my store that has one just showed me how to do it on his phone so yes you can text with one hand or in landscape it is your choice.

I got to play with it today for 10 min, and yes you can have it from landscape and portrait..... 🙂
