Go to www.sprint.com/coverage and you can enter your address and see exactly what type of coverage you'll have for both the CDMA as well as iDEN networks.

thanks. i know this. however i the rumor on the street is that sprint phone service isnt that good

Sprint's phone service isn't any worse than anyone else's. I have had T-Mo sprint and nextel, and sprint is the best of the three.
Get yourself hooked up on the SERO plan and save yourself some money... $50 for unlimited vision, 1250 (maybe a few more) minutes, nights and weekends starting at 7 & some phones for free or pretty damn inexpensive

Sprint's phones and network is good, what is bad about Sprint is customer service and billing (though MAYBE the billing part will be better now with a unified platform for both Nextel & Sprint)
The bottom line is how good the coverage is in YOUR area. Nothing else really matters. The best phone company isn't worth a hill of beans if they can't provide coverage where you need it most.
Hope that helps! 😁

Service is great.
I've had T-mobile about 5 years ago and it sucked.
I've had verizon for a few years and it's ok i do get roaming sometimes in my house as of lately.
Sprint is either equal to or better...

I was in Chicago a month ago, and had great service. Everyone else that I was with had T-Mobile and their service was horrible. I usually had all or more that half of my bars. We were mostly in the loop, navy pier, and on the north side of town. My internet service on my phone wasn't that great though, but if you are just going to use it for voice calls, it's great.

It differs in every market area, but in my area as well as the areas where I travel nationwide, is that my phone and data experiences are great. Actually better than Cingular (AT&T) and Verizon put together.

Don't be silly. When is the last time you even used either of those two services?

Well, Verizon was a month ago when cousins came from out of state with their Verizon phones. AT&T/Cingular were last week when I was used my cousins devices in state. Before that, I used Verizon a year ago and I used AT&T/Cingular before the merger and after the merger. My Sprint and Nextel devices worked better even when they had some tower issues than AT&T/Cingular and Verizon. Just want to be clear, however, AT&T/Cingular and Verizon are not good in this area.

I had Sprint a fews years ago and the service as far as calls go were pretty good in my area...always crystal clear. The reason I left was because of bad billing practices. When I first signed up with Sprint I had absolutely no problems. A few months after signing up for service I started working for a company that offered discounts for Sprint customers so I called customer service and they switched me over to a business account so I could get the discount. Well, I got a bill in the mail a week later saying that I needed to pay a $125 deposit...I had already paid that when I signed up for Sprint. I was not going to pay another deposit. I called the business dept and they said that they would fix the problem. Well when I got my bill wi...
